
Watts Up is a Computrainer multi-rider center capable of handling every cyclist needs. At Watts Up we use
Computrainer lab models that are calibrated on their exclusive dynamometer ensuring the highest accuracy.
With this technology you are able to ride your own bike indoors and perform progressive time and wattage based workouts. Whether in a group setting or by yourself all workouts are custom tailored to your specific needs. At Watts Up we believe in a systemic approach to progressive intensity, ensuring that all athletes receive a balance of active recovery and intensity. After each training cycle you complete at Watts Up you will be less prone to injury and make incredible leaps in overall fitness. Not only will you experience fitness changes but you will also have a much better understanding of the physiology of exercise.
For those that would like to perform their own workout instead of ours, that can easily be arranged. Design your own workout and we will upload it so you can be taken through your own progression. At the end of your workouts you will be given a printed report with all of your stats so that you or your coach can analyze it.
Coaches can also rent the Computrainers and take their athletes through the workouts they prescribe.
Aside from just workouts Watts Up can also analyze your pedal stroke using Computrainer's spin scan technology. Using the spin scan can tell you how efficient or inefficient your pedal stroke is. Spin scan can also tell you exactly when you're applying power to the pedals in relation to top dead center of your pedal stroke. Spin scan will also tell you what your power split is on each leg, often times it will let you know how much that old nagging injury is really affecting your cycling.
Watts Up also hosts seasonal time trial series during winter months. During the time trails you will race against your friends in this winner take all series. Time trial information will be found on our schedule on this site. Here you can register and pay for your time trial series via PayPal.
At Watts Up we offer monthly endurance sports coaching via Training Peaks. We will design your whole season and all workouts will be easily found online with your included monthly account. Here we will be able to track your progress, upload power, HR, GPS, files etc. All coaching programs included weekly time on the Computrainer. All coached athletes will have unlimited contact via phone or e-mail and will have daily assessments. Before beginning any program at Watts Up all athletes must complete a threshold test. This testing is essential for developing accurate training zones and FTP( Functional Threshold Power). Watts Up performs different types of threshold tests from a simple time trial to a more sophisticated blood lactate test. Blood lactate testing is available by appointment and is the BEST way to determine accurate training zones.
Aside from the mentioned above we also offer personal training and non-medical nutritional counseling. Contrary to popular belief we do not only work with athletes.
We are qualified to handle post rehabilitative cases, weight loss, movement disorder diseases (i.e. Parkinson's), and anyone seeking to improve the quality of their life.
We are conveniently located inside Mountain's Edge Fitness in the Table Mesa shopping center of South Boulder. Each client that uses Watts Up for their cycling needs will have daily access to the gym. So whether you want to shower or run on the treadmill after your ride, it is all included in your session price.
